There are plenty of places to stay in Bali, but the best areas are Seminyak and Ubud. Seminyak is a trendy area with plenty of bars and restaurants, while Ubud is known for its nature and culture.

Whichever area you choose, make sure you research the hotels first. There are some great places to stay, but there are also a lot of terrible ones. And, as always, it’s important to read the reviews before making your decision.

Bali is known for its delicious food, so you’re in for a real treat when you’re there! As with anything, though, not all restaurants are created equal. Here are some of our favorites:

Warung Mimpi in Seminyak is a great place to start. They serve traditional Balinese food that’s absolutely delicious. Be sure to try the babi guling (roast pork) – it’s a local favorite!

Another great option is The Luwak Café in Ubud. They serve up some of the best coffee in Bali, as well as a range of Indonesian and Western dishes. The setting is also lovely, making it a perfect spot for a romantic dinner.

And finally, for a truly unforgettable dining experience, head to Ibu Oka in Batubulan. This restaurant is famous for its suckling pig, which is roasted over an open fire and served with steamed rice and Balinese peanut sauce. It’s an incredible dish, and one you’ll never forget!

Bali offers a wealth of activities and attractions to enjoy, from outdoor adventures and beaches to spiritual temples and cultural villages. You could spend weeks exploring the island and still not see everything. Here are some highlights:

For nature lovers, Bali is paradise. The island is home to rainforests, volcanoes, rice paddies, terraced hillsides and coral reefs. There are plenty of opportunities for hiking, birdwatching, cycling and diving.

The beaches are another major draw, with white sand and crystal-clear waters. Seminyak, Legian and Kuta are the busiest areas and offer a wide range of restaurants and nightlife options. If you’re looking for a more peaceful setting, head to Sanur or Ulu Watu.

Bali is also home to some of the most spectacular temples in the world. The Mother Temple of Besakih is the most important temple on the island, while Pura Tanah Lot is a must-see for sunset views. Other popular temples include Pura Luhur Ulu Watu, Pura Ulun Danu Bratan and Taman Ayun Temple.

For a unique cultural experience, visit one of the traditional Balinese villages. There are villages that specialize in arts and crafts such as woodcarving, painting or weaving, while others are devoted to agriculture or fishing.

You can’t go to Bali without some shopping! Whether you’re looking for souvenirs or something more, the island has plenty of options for you.

First up, head to Ubud Market to find all kinds of traditional handmade items ranging from jewelry and crafts to carvings and clothing. Make sure to haggle—it’s expected, and even part of the local culture! Another great spot is Sukawati Market in Gianyar, where you can find Batik fabrics, beautiful handbags, aromatic spices and lots more.

Of course if you’re looking for designer items or luxury brands, Seminyak is the place to go. You’ll find lots of high-end shops as well as boutiques with unique items. Be prepared to pay top dollar here though—Seminyak prices definitely tend towards the higher end.
